Privacy & diagnostics

PhotoTray is local-first. Every photo you convert, resize, upscale, cut out, organise, scrub or fix is processed entirely on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, which is also why there is no file-size cap and no queue.

• Optional diagnostics only. Crash reports, Usage analytics and Reinstall / Uninstall analytics are each independently switchable in Settings ▸ Privacy & diagnostics.
• No sensitive content, ever. Diagnostics never include your URLs, filenames, or the photos you process. At most they carry which utility was used and a general category of any error.
• The bandwidth exchange never sees your data. It shares spare network capacity and your IP address to fetch public web data; it does not read or transmit anything you create or convert.
• Privacy Scrub is the one utility built around this. See Privacy Scrub for removing metadata from photos before you share them elsewhere.
